Petra location is about 2 hours to the north of aqaba ( Jordan port in the red sea)

The city surrounding by towering hills of rust-coloured sandstone which gave the city some natural protection against invaders.

Tour itinerary

·         Pick up from your hotel either in Cairo or sharm Elsheikh

·         Arrive to taba port

·         Departure from taba by boat ( ferry boat depart approx 07:30 from taba )

·         Arrive to aqaba                         ( ferry boat arrive at 08:45 to aqaba )

·         Driving to Petra ( 2 hours Driving from aqaba to petra )

·         Start guiding tour in Petra for approx 2 : 3 hours

·         We enter Petra on foot or over horses for 900 m through the siq we visit the great treasury ( alkhazneh faroun ) the roman theater , the royal tombs as well as hundreds of monuments , obelisks all multi shaded rose, red sandstone 

·         Walk through the colonnade of roman bezantine petra brings us to the city center for lunch  afterwards we continue our tour to the hill of al habis

·         Drive back to aqaba we arrive up to there at 18:45

·         One hour free time in aqaba for shopping and then take the ferry at 19:30 back to taba

·         Drive back from taba either to sharm elsheikh or Cairo
