The Whale Valley is located in the Wadi Al Rayan Valley in Fayoum (central Egypt). It was part of an area that contained many aquatic areas and was known as the Tithi Sea before turning into desert and mountains.
The Whale Valley region was designated in 2005 as a World Heritage Site and was selected by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as the World Heritage Site for Whale Skeleton.
The Tour
Early morning you will be picked up from your hotel by Jeep 4×4 to start your tour to Fayoum first part of the tour will be the waterfalls of Wadi El Rayan and the lakes
then we will have chance to explore the sand dunes and enjoy the sand boarding the highlight of the tour is the whale valley – Wadi Hitan we visit the museum and walk around to see the fossils of the whales then we have break for lunch before drive back to Cairo.
